Jake Vollmer was born and raised in a small town in Connecticut. He graduated from Emerson College with a BA in Media Production and a minor in Business. His production design on the BFA thesis film Men of Tomorrow won best narrative production design at the 34th EVVY Awards.

He then moved to LA where he earned his MFA in Production Design from the American Film Institute. After graduating he was accepted into the ADG Production Design Initiative and worked as an Art PA on tv shows like Insecure and features like Rebel Moon.

Now a member of the Art Director's Guild, his recent credits include Assistant Art Directing on the Barbie LA Unit and seasons 4 and 5 of For All Mankind.
